At a sold out charity performance of its 2018 Christmas Spectacular on Sunday 2nd December 2018, over £10,500 was raised by Potters Resort for Potters Friends Foundation to distribute to worthy causes in the community.

The Christmas Spectacular was seen by over 700 people, with all proceeds from ticket sales of the family-friendly show and sales of Potters Theatre Company’s programme going to the community interest company. The final figure raised from the afternoon was £10,625.87.

Before the performance, John Potter and Nathan Moore from Potters Friends Foundation spoke about some of the projects that the Foundation has supported this year, before being joined by Paul Wooster from Norfolk Accident Rescue Service (NARS); a charity providing expert medical help at life-threatening medical emergencies. Paul spoke to the audience about the difference that a car the Foundation purchased for £10,000 earlier this year has made to helping them continue their life-saving work before John, on behalf of the Potters Friends Foundation, pledged support to Paul and NARS for a second car moving forward.

Guests were then treated to a performance of the Spectacular, featuring chart topping Christmas number ones and festive favourites, as well as local children, dazzling choreography, comedy, stunning sets, sparkling costumes and live band.

We caught up with John Potter, who said: “Already this year, our guests and team have helped us raise tens of thousands for the Potters Friends Foundation supporting local causes, and we are very proud of all the team and guests for helping us to raise money for local initiatives. This special matinee show gives locals a chance to see the show and celebrate the festivities with us, whilst raising money for local good causes with 100% of the ticket money being donated to the Potters Friends Foundation. A massive thank you to everyone involved in putting on this special charity performance and to everyone who came along to watch.”

Nathan Moore, CEO of the Potters Friends Foundation, said: "Those visiting had already made a contribution simply by purchasing tickets, but their continued generosity on the day meant we surpassed our £10,000 target, which is incredible. Thank you to everyone for making this such a special event."

Potters Theatre Company has a cast and crew of 70 and started working on the Christmas show after Easter.
