‘Duck Bill Potterpus’ is at the gate…
Sunday 28th August will see our very own Duck Bill Potterpus compete for the ultimate prize; the title of ‘Winner – Grand Norwich Duck Race 2016’.
This fantastic family event, organised by East Anglian charity, Break, has become an annual event attended by many in the local area. With 3,000 little ducklings leading the way in the day’s first race, Duck Bill Potterpus will take on ducks adopted by other local businesses with up to 200 quacky competitors ready to take their marks at 2.30pm. Setting off from the Ribs of Beef pub, close to Norwich’s city centre, our duck will travel from St George’s Bridge to St Fye’s Bridge in what will no doubt be a ‘Battle Royale’ of epic proportions.
We will of course let you know how Duck Bill Potterpus gets on; all being well, we will be reunited with him on Thursday September 8th, with an auction set to take place for all ducks entered raising further funds for this very worthy cause who, since 1968, have been a tremendous support base for local young people at risk.
