“Fore!” for Big C
Norwich based cancer charity, Big C, celebrated their 24th Annual Golf Day at Bawburgh Golf Club last week as they raise funds for a new cancer support centre in Norwich.
Despite some bad weather during the week, the clouds and rain stayed very much away on what turned out to be an amazing day for a round of golf. Potters Resort entered its own team and donated a festive weekend break to help raise valuable funds.
A great round was had by the Potters Resort Team, represented by Dan Heskins, Gary Williams, Nathan Moore and Simon Boumford. John Potter also attended the day (but had already been snapped up by another team!).
Big C raised over £6,000 on the day from team entries, a raffle and auction as well as a putting competition. Those who found bunkers around the course were also politely asked to make a voluntary donation of their choosing! Such events help Big C continue their work in improving the lives of those affected by cancer, across Norfolk and Waveney.
Well done to Big C and Bawburgh Golf Club for putting on such a great day, and well done to our team members who took part.
