Judy’s Black and White Peacock Jacket Raises £1,200
Every January spectators attending the Just Retirement World Indoor Bowls Championships at Potters are given the opportunity to enter a competition to guess the colour and style of jacket worn by Judy Potter at the World Indoor Bowls Singles Final.
The fun competition is popular with visitors during the Championships, with the closest correct answers entered into a prize draw to win a free weekend break at Potters! This year Judy chose a black and white jacket from her collection, featuring a peacock feather print.
In addition to competition tickets sold by World Bowls Stewards for £1 each throughout the 17 days of bowls action, money raised from seat cushion hire is also being donated to Potters Friends Foundation to distribute to worthy causes in our community.
The total raised from both initiatives was a fantastic £1,217.96 and we'd like to thank guests and day visitors for taking part. Anyone guessing black and white is in with a shout!
