Palms team gets muddy and raises £2,941.08 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance
A massive thank you and well done to the Palms Health & Fitness Club team and members who took part in the Only the Brave challenge on Sunday 7th April 2019.
The team raised a staggering £2,941.08 in total for the East Anglian Air Ambulance (EAAA) through their Just Giving page, a 24 hour cycle ride, sponsorship money, a coffee morning, special Braveathon classes, a baby face competition and through voluntary donations.
They also completed a muddy six mile obstacle course battling through mud to raise money, with six staff members and 10 members competing.
We caught up with Ian Hawes, Palms manager, who said: “A massive thank you to everyone who supported us and joined us in raising money for the EAAA. It was hard work, but we all had a great time as a team on the day – although we did all get very muddy in the challenge!”
The EAAA is a charity providing a helicopter emergency medical service for the people of East Anglia. EAAA exists to save lives by delivering highly skilled doctors and critical care paramedics by air or car to seriously ill or injured people in the region. It is a life-saving charity that is only kept airborne thanks to its supporters.
Thank you to all of those who took part in the challenge and worked so hard to raise such a wonderful amount of money.
