Potters Resort celebrates National Receptionists’ Day and raises £1,115.05
On Wednesday 11th May 2016 Potters Resort celebrated National Receptionists’ Day – a day for unsung heroes on Reception Desks, who are quite often the first face a customer sees.
Potters offered the Reception Team a job-swap, hosting a cake bake sale in the morning to raise funds for the Potters Friends Foundation. The coffee morning was open to guests and the team at the Resort, while the front desk was covered by other members of the 575-plus team. A raffle also raised funds for the Foundation, as did a guess how many room keys are in the bucket competition. The team raised £1,115.05 from the day and Potters Friends Foundation will donate the money to deserving local causes and charities in the community.
To thank the 13 strong Reception team for all their hard work and for consistently being the recognised face of Potters Resort, the team were treated to a delicious lunch. In the afternoon they enjoyed activities, including Archery, Golf, Jewellery Making and Laser Clays. Later on they took on guests in a quiz and a Kurling competition.
Frances Prior, Potters Resort’s Front of House Manager, said: “We get to see and hear everything on Reception and help welcome guests on Resort, as well as be a contact point for the duration of their break. The team work extremely hard and it’s great to be appreciated by the wider team at Potters Resort. Celebrating the day with the team is important to me as it recognises their commitment, hard work and success.”
John Potter said: “We never underestimate the importance of our team on Reception, as first impressions last and every guest gets a warm and friendly welcome. We’re fortunate enough to have a fantastic team to perform such a valuable role and play such an important part in our guest’s experience. The feedback we receive from reviews and on TripAdvisor is testimony to just how much our guests value them too.”
